The brother of Luis Suarez has defended the Liverpool striker and maintained the family are not racist.
Suarez has this season served an eight-match ban for racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra in one of the most publicised events of the campaign.
Liverpool's No.7, who played in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Sunderland, then refused to shake hands with Evra when he again faced the full-back at Old Trafford in February.
Suarez subsequently apologised, but his reputation remains tarnished and he is a constant target for opposition boo-boys.
However, his brother, Paolo, insists the former Ajax star is not a racist, as he told El Salvador-based newspaper
Ovacion: "There have been all type of comments, but we, as a family, have always been calm.
"We know very well where we come from and how we have been raised and which type of education we have been given."
Regarding his relationship with his brother, Paolo added: "We don't speak every day, but we do every two days.
"We send pictures of our families to each other. We have a very good relationship, like always."
