Jamie Carragher insisted the Carling Cup final win was not the beginning of an emotional farewell to Liverpool.
The centre-back has started just 16 games this season in all competitions and he again began Sunday's Wembley win over Cardiff as a substitute.
Carragher, a Liverpool legend who sits second in the club's all-time appearances records behind Ian Callaghan, came on for the injured Daniel Agger in the 86th minute.
And the former England international was therefore able to play a part as, after the penalty shoot-out victory over Cardiff, he helped Liverpool to a first trophy since 2006.

Carragher appeared sentimental in the post-match celebrations, but when asked if it was the start of a long goodbye, he told
Sky Sports: "No, I don't think so."
He then added as a joke: "Who are you? Are you the manager?"
Vice-captain Carragher, meanwhile, has echoed the thoughts of skipper Steven Gerrard and goalkeeper Jose Reina in targeting a new era of success.
"It is great for the supporters," said the centre-back. "Nothing beats this, celebrating at the end with the fans.
"It has probably been too long since we've done it, so hopefully this will be the first of many more to come."
