Sky Sports sources understand that Stoke City are interested in signing Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy.
The Potters are keen to bolster their forward line ahead of the transfer deadline and have already been linked with a late move for Birmingham striker Cameron Jerome.
Wales international Bellamy is widely expected to leave City after falling down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.
The former Cardiff, West Ham and Newcastle forward was believed to have been in talks with Queens Park Rangers, while former club Liverpool were also linked with a bid to bring the 32-year-old back to Anfield.
However, it now appears Stoke boss Tony Pulis has entered the running for Bellamy and is attempting snatch the striker from under the noses of his Premier League rivals.
