Brazilian keeper could make move to Anfield 'in the next 36 hours'

The agent of Roma keeper Alexander Doni claims his client could sign for Liverpool 'in the next 36 hours'. The Brazilian shot-stopper has already spurned one offer from the Reds, after an agreement was reached between the two clubs. Discussions broke down over personal terms, but it is understood that talks have resumed and an agreement has been struck. That is the view of Doni's representative, who says there are only a few minor issues to be resolved before the 31-year-old completes a move to Anfield. "In the next 36 hours we will know something definite," said Ovidio Colucci. "Liverpool are interested in Doni and there is the agreement between the two clubs and with the player.

Details

"Doni is in Italy right now. "We just have to ratify certain details with Roma. "If the deal is completed, Doni will join Liverpool on a free transfer and will sign a two-year contract. "Doni is very happy with the chance to go to Liverpool and play in the Premier League." Doni joined Roma in 2005 from Juventude in his homeland. Doni, who is under contract with the Serie A outfit until June 2013, has been an understudy to Julio Sergio in recent seasons, and made just 16 league appearances for Roma last term.
