Balazs Dzsudzsak has committed to PSV after spurning interest from several clubs, including Liverpool.

Sought-after winger pledges future to Dutch giants

Balazs Dzsudzsak has penned a new deal with PSV after spurning interest from several clubs, including Liverpool, according to his agent. The highly-rated winger has committed to the Eredivisie leaders until 2015, despite being heavily linked with a move away from the Dutch giants during last month's transfer window. Dzsudzsak's agent Jozsef Vorosbaranyi claims Liverpool were among a host of teams chasing the Hungarian's signature before he signed the extension. He told origo.hu: "The most serious teams were Lille, Wolfsburg, Liverpool and Juventus. "Some of them made a concrete offer but Balazs decided to stay in Eindhoven." Dutch press also reported earlier this week that Manchester City made a transfer deadline-day bid for the 24-year-old winger that was rejected by PSV.

Delighted

Dzsudzsak says he is delighted to commit to PSV as the Eindhoven club continue their bid to raise their first league trophy since 2008. "I'm happy to stay because I feel very good at the club, which has a bright future," he told PSV's official website. "There were teams interested from abroad but I decided to stay in Eindhoven where I can permanently develop." The left-sided attacker arrived at the Philips Stadion from native outfit Debreceni VSC in 2008, and has emerged as a key member of the PSV squad. Dzsudzsak has made 21 Eredivisie appearances this season, and is currently the club's second-highest scorer behind Ola Toivonen with 10 goals.
