West Bromwich Albion are considering an appeal against James Morrison's sending off versus Liverpool at the weekend.
The Scotland midfielder was handed a straight red card by referee Lee Probert with four minutes remaining of the Baggies' 1-0 loss at Anfield.
Morrison was dismissed for a reckless challenge on striker Fernando Torres, but has since insisted there was no intent to injure his opponent.
He said in the Birmingham Mail: "I caught him, I'm not going to deny that, but I didn't go in to hurt him.
"The ball got nipped off my toe and I just followed through but people know I'm not a dirty player.
"It was just one of those things - but the intent was not there.
"I didn't leave the ground and I just mis-timed it."
