Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson is hoping to extend David Martin's loan at the League One leaders.
Martin joined the Foxes from Liverpool in August, but is due to return to the Premier League title contenders in January.
The goalkeeper has impressed during his time at Leicester and has made 19 appearances for Pearson's side.
Pearson feels Liverpool will agree to a deal which will see the 22-year-old stay at the Walkers Stadium until the end of the season.
"I am delighted we look like keeping him and I would think Liverpool are happy for him to get valuable experience," said Pearson in the Daily Star Sunday.
Martin has yet to make a first-team appearance for Liverpool since joining from MK Dons in 2006, but is highly regarded at Anfield.
