Liverpool defender Godwin Antwi has joined local League One outfit Tranmere on loan until January.
Tranmere have been tracking the 20-year-old for some time and he become's their sixth summer signing following the arrival of Gareth Edds, Edrissa Sonko, George O'Callaghan, Bas Savage and Luke Waterfall at Prenton Park.
Antwi was part of Liverpool's FA Youth Cup winning side in 2006 after joining the Reds from Spanish side Real Zaragoza the year before.
He spent time with Accrington Stanley before enjoying a season-long loan at Hartlepool last term, where he scored one goal in 27 appearances.
Delighted Rovers boss Ronnie Moore said: "Godwin is a very talented young defender who we've been watching for some time.
"When I heard he had become available on loan I jumped at the chance of bringing him in to play right-back.
"He has spent the last three seasons at Liverpool so has worked with some great coaches.
"He is comfortable on the ball, already has Football League experience from his time at Hartlepool and he will add quality, strength and pace to our defence.
"Hopefully we will be able to keep him beyond January."
