Nottingham Forest winger Paul Anderson is set to undergo a scan on his thigh injury.
The 19-year-old, who is on a season-long loan at the City Ground from Liverpool, missed Friday's 2-1 win over Offenbach Kickers in Germany.
He will also be missing against Burton Albion on Tuesday night as Forest prepare for their return in the Championship.
Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood said: "Paul will have a scan on his leg just to give the physios and the doctor a chance to really understand what the problem is.
"We should have a better idea about his progression over the next week or so."
The England U19 international recently extended his deal at Anfield until 2011 after a successful season on loan with Swansea last term, scoring ten goals in all competitions.
