Cicinho appears to have ruled out moves to Liverpool or Sevilla, insisting he wants to join Roma.
The Real Madrid full-back is ready to leave Santiago Bernabeu after dropping down the pecking order under new coach Bernd Schuster.
Sevilla are very much in the market with Daniel Alves looking Chelsea-bound.
Liverpool were also understood to have made contact with Real, but Cicincho seemingly has his heart set on a move to Roma.
Eternal City desire
"If finally I do leave Real, my ideal destination would be Roma," he told Efe.
"Only Italy, and not Sevilla."
Real sporting director Predrag Mijatovic has already confirmed that they are talking with Roma about a possible loan deal for Cicinho.
