Livorno goalkeeper Marco Amelia has extended his contract with the Tuscan club.
The Italy international will now remain with the Serie A outfit until 2011, with the news surely ending any speculation of a January move away from the Stadio Armando Picchi.
The 24-year-old was strongly linked with a switch to Serie A rivals Milan and Premiership giants Liverpool, as his previous Livorno deal was set to expire in June.
Amelia's new contract allows Livorno to keep hold of the custodian's services until the end of the season, at least.
It remains to be seen if suitors will maintain their interest in the shot-stopper for the future, with Livorno now in a position to likely claim a substantial fee for the player.
