Real Zaragoza's Alberto Zapater has ended speculation over his future by signing a new deal at the club.
The talented midfielder had been linked with moves to Liverpool and Valencia this summer after impressing at La Romareda.
Zaragoza were keen to keep the youngster at the club and after protracted talks have tied him down to a new deal until 2010.
The 21-year-old was delighted to commit his future to Zaragoza.
"The negotiation was hard and intense but all is closed and I stay at Zaragoza,," said Zapater.
"I am very happy because the things not are changed and my club is Zaragoza...
"I have suffered greatly with the links but now I know that the people are happy with my continuity."
