Ludovic Giuly has revealed he is close to signing a new deal at Barcelona.
The French midfielder has been linked with a move away from Camp Nou after contract talks were put on hold in April.
Giuly has just a year to run on his present contract and the former Monaco man was keen to extend his stay.
Liverpool and Lyon were both linked with the diminutive winger and Giuly admitted Lyon made him a very tempting offer to return to France.
However, Giuly has snubbed their overtures to stay with the Spanish champions.
"Lyon and Liverpool wanted to get me," Giuly told France Football.
"Either I stayed at Barcelona or I signed at Lyon, which did me a very beautiful proposition.
"But Barcelona has always been my priority and we quickly found an agreement for a prolongation."
Barcelona are thought to have offered Giuly a two-year extension and the Frenchman is expected to put pen-to-paper in the next few days.
