Benfica have stated Nuno Gomes is going nowhere, but conceded winger Simao Sabrosa could be leaving.
Gomes has caught the eye of a number of clubs, including Premiership outfit Portsmouth, while Liverpool have held a long-standing interest in Simao.
However, Benfica president Luis Filipe Viera has stated the club want to retain the nucleus of their squad, although Simao could be heading for the exit door.
Liverpool's interest in Simao appears to have cooled after stepping up their bid for David Alves, but a number of big-name clubs are still seeking his services.
"Our objective is to maintain the structure of the team and the idea is not to sell our key players," explained Viera.
"It's normal that we receive important offers, but it's not possible for him (Gomes) to go.
"No Benfica player, except Simao will be leaving the club. Of that I'm convinced.
"We're still speaking with several clubs (regarding Simao), it's still not closed."
