Liverpool winger Harry Kewell has revealed his delight at his current purple patch of form for The Reds.

Supporters have mainly been frustrated with the former Leeds United star's inconsistent displays and regular injuries, but over recent weeks Kewell has been a key performer in Liverpool's superb run of domestic results.

The Australian is delighted at regular football for the Merseysiders and has paid tribute to manager Rafa Benitez for sticking by him during his darker days.

"I'm delighted I'm playing again, so I can concentrate on football. I'm enjoying my football again, which is the main thing," Kewell stated.

"I owe a lot to the manager for sticking by me when everyone else was giving me stick. I want to pay him back for that.

"The Liverpool fans have probably been the most frustrated with me, and I want to pay them back as well - so it's great to hear them behind me.

"It's great to be able to play without any pain. I feel comfortable and I'm alongside fantastic players, so it's enjoyable."

Meanwhile, Jan Kromkamp has sealed his move to Anfield, with Josemi moving in the opposite direction to Villarreal, while Paul Anderson has also formally joined.

Kromkamp is expected to be unveiled by The Reds on Thursday while 17-year-old Anderson has joined from Hull City after a deal was struck earlier last month.
