Kewell vows to come good

Harry Kewell has promised to repay Rafa Benitez's faith in him.

Harry Kewell has promised to come good for Liverpool.

The former Leeds United man has been cursed by injuries since moving to Anfield two seasons ago and has come under fierce criticism, but is desperate to repay Rafa Benitez's faith in him.

The Australian, currently preparing for his country's crucial World Cup play-off against Uruguay, is confident that he has put his injury nightmare behind him and can rediscover his best form.

"The lowest point was definitely walking off in the UEFA Champions League final," he admitted.

"I was fighting fit but as soon as I stuck my leg out, my whole abductor snapped.

"Rafa has been brilliant. He showed confidence in me.

"I respect that and need to repay him."
