Stockport youngster Jason Tunnicliffe will remain on trial with Liverpool for another two days to allow Rafa Benitez to cast his eye over the promising defender.
The 16-year-old has spent a week with the European champions after being invited to Anfield in a bid to impress the Liverpool coaching staff.
A deal worth £750,000 to the League Two side has already been agreed, although Benitez has been unable to cast his own personal judgement due to first team commitments.
The Spaniard has been focused on recent games with Anderlecht and Fulham but will now assess Tunnicliffe's ability.
The Hatters youth is yet to make his first team bow for Stockport although has been named in the first team squad despite his tender years.
If he completes the prospective move to The Reds, Tunnicliffe will join fellow promising youngsters Godwin Antwi, Antonio Barragan, Jack Hobbs and Miquel Roque in entrusting their futures to Benitez.
