Djibril Cisse has cleared Blackburn defender Jay McEveley of any blame for the serious injury he suffered.The Liverpool striker suffered a horrific broken leg in the draw at Blackburn in October after an innocuous challenge with McEveley.
Cisse is trying to remain positive despite the injury and has set his sights on a return to action next season.
"I do not resent the Blackburn player at all. I have never had anything against him," he said.
"My injury was completely accidental.
"Now it is down to me to do all I can to regain my best form.
"I have a hell of a strong morale and I will be back at my peak from the start of next season."
