Despite recent criticism of Kewell's form the Norwegian full back has respect for his team-mate and expects to be given a tough game.
"Obviously it is going to be great to play against Harry and there has been a lot of chat between us in training at Liverpool recently." Riise told the Daily Mirror.
"He is a skilful player and capable of so many different things - in training he does things I didn't know were possible.
"His pace, crossing and the way he turns people is great and I have tried to learn from him.
"The thing about Harry is that he always thinks he is going to win, but I have been telling him that we are going to stop him."
