SEVILLA are on the verge of signing Zaragoza striker Yordi.

The hit-man, who had a spell on loan at Blackburn Rovers two seasons ago, is poised to agree a three-year deal which would see him return to one of his former employers.

The two clubs are still to reach agreement over a fee for the transfer, and are believed to be around ‚é¼300,000 (£200,000) apart in their respective valuations.

However, with further talks planned this week, a deal worth just under ‚é¼1 million (£650,000) is expected to be thrashed out.

Zaragoza are reported to be lining up an ambitious swoop for Liverpool's Czech striker Milan Baros to replace Yordi.

The 29-year-old forward made a total of 33 appearances in Zaragoza's promotion-winning campaign in La Segunda last term, netting 14 goals in the process.
