Many of Christian Gross's players have been linked with moves away from Switzerland after they impressed in the Champions League last season.
Playmaker Yakin has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool, and Reds boss Gerard Houllier reportedly made a trip to Switzerland to see him in action recently.
Basel striker Rossi has now said that his team-mate Yakin is indeed close to swapping St Jakobs Park for Anfield.
"Different members of the team have been contacted by important European clubs, but up to now it is just Hakan Yakin who nearly has a contract in his pocket," said Rossi.
"The others, including me, are still waiting for something definite."
Rossi has caught the eye of promoted Italian side Siena, who are looking to bring him in for their Serie A campaign.
