BRAD FRIEDEL could be on his way to Mexico, with Tigres rumoured to be interested in signing the American international keeper.

Friedel is ready to leave Liverpool, after recently having an application for a new work permit turned down to stay with the English side.

The shots-topper has failed to play in at least 75 percent of his club's matches culmitating in the decision for his work permit refusal.

The 29-year-old is currently well down the pecking order for the number one jersey at Anfield, behind Sander Westerweld and also free-transfer signing Pegguy Arphexad from Leicester.

Everton and Blackburn are also rumoured to be tracking the former Columbus Crew star, however they would also face problems of obtaining a work permit for the player.
