Eden Hazard says he would be the "happiest man in the world" if Belgium team-mate Christian Benteke signed for Chelsea.

The striker has been tipped to leave Aston Villa this summer and admitted to Sky Sports News HQ that he is unsure where he will be next season.

He has been linked with a move to a number of top Premier League clubs, including Hazard’s Chelsea.

"If Christian signs with us, I would be the happiest man in the world," Hazard told reporters in Belgium.

“I have a great relationship with him and would like nothing better than to play with him. Christian is 25. He is at an age where he has to make a good career choice.

"Not that Aston Villa is a small club but he has already played many great games and can now play in the Champions League."

Since joining Villa in 2012, Benteke has scored a total of 49 goals in 101 appearances.
