Diego Costa has reiterated his desire to stay at Chelsea following reports linking him with a move away from the club.
Costa played 40 minutes for Chelsea against Sydney FC on Tuesday as his side secured a 1-0 win in Australia.
He walked away with the Man of the Match award for his brief display in the first half. He scored 20 Premier League goals in his first season in the Premier League helping Chelsea win the a domestic double of the league and Capital One Cup.
"It’s always a bit more difficult in the first season for adaptation, but I have no reason to leave this place, I love it, the fans love me and I want to stay."
Sky Sports Spanish expert Guillem Balague confirmed Atletico will be looking for a striker this summer with Mandzukic set to leave the Vicente Calderon.
Costa left Spain for the Premier League with one of the motivating factors behind the move being an improved contract and he would have to reduce his wages if he was to leave Chelsea.
Balague insists this would not happen and Atletico would not be able to afford to bring Costa back even if they wanted to.
"Atletico Madrid are not aware at all of that to be the case. In any case a pay cut would still be too much for Atletico Madrid.
"One of the main reasons why Costa left was because of the contract he was going to get at Chelsea. Atletico Madrid are looking for a new striker, they want to sell Mandzukic. They are looking for a striker - but not in London."
