Roberto Di Matteo says Daniel Sturridge could start ahead of Fernando Torres at Juventus

Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo has insisted that he has a decision to make over who will start up-front for their trip to Juventus on Tuesday.

Di Matteo's decisions could have a profound effect on his prospects of keeping the job he so richly deserved as a reward for ending Chelsea's wait for European Cup glory. But an early exit from this year's competition could add to pressure on the Italian, especially in the midst of the club's latest struggles, which have seen them fall from first to third in the Barclays Premier League after taking two points from 12. Di Matteo admitted on Friday he feared Roman Abramovich was going to sack him along with Andre Villas-Boas before he took charge of Chelsea but he refused to reveal whether he was of a similar mind now. "I'm not thinking about that," he said. Juve had no intention of easing the pressure on Di Matteo, whose side are one point clear of them with two Group E games remaining. Midfielder Claudio Marchisio said: "Qualification is at stake. We know it's very important - our biggest game of the year - and we want to go through." Assistant manager Angelo Alessio said: "We know, without beating about the bush, that it's all or nothing and we want to go through." He added: "If we are not so good, we will play the Europa League, but we know we have achieved something good already."
