Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge has not travelled to Copenhagen for Tuesday's UEFA Champions League clash against Nordsjaelland after failing to recover from a hamstring injury.
Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo had been hoping the 23-year-old would be available for the Farum Park encounter but it appears Fernando Torres will maintain his record of having started every match this season.
Sturridge has not featured for Chelsea since appearing as a substitute in the goalless draw at QPR on September 15th.
Di Matteo must decide how many players to rest for a game in which Chelsea will be expected to win, almost regardless what side they put out.
Their opening Group E encounter last month saw the Blues draw 2-2 with Juventus at Stamford Bridge.
