Gary Cahill was relieved that the goals finally came for Chelsea in their hard-fought 4-2 win over Reading at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues found themselves behind after goals from Pavel Pogrebnyak and Danny Guthrie wiped out Frank Lampard's early penalty.
But a long-range effort from Cahill followed by goals from Fernando Torres and Branislav Ivanovic gave Roberto Di Matteo's men the victory.
Cahill was grateful that Chelsea got the reward for continuing to push for the win.
He told
Sky Sports: "The first 10 or 15 minutes I thought we dominated the game. Went 1-0 up and then obviously it's turned around with the two goals and they did fantastically well first half.
"But as football is it turned on its head in the space of five or 10 minutes.
"I still thought we kept pushing and I was hoping it was going to come. Thankfully it did.
"They were difficult. They were direct at times and they worked really hard so it was a tough test for sure."
Fortunate
Cahill was a little fortunate to grab the equaliser after Royals keeper Adam Federici could only push the ball into the net.
And the 26-year-old former Bolton centre-back was pleased to make amends for being beaten to the ball by Pogrebnyak for Reading's opener.
He added: "I think it just pitched off the surface. It was wet and thankfully it slid in.
"It was good for me because I was disappointed with the first goal. I should have been tighter in the box for sure.
"Not taking anything away from the finish - it was a fantastic finish - but I was disappointed with that so it levelled me up getting the equaliser."
Asked about Eden Hazard, Cahill said: "I thought he was absolutely fantastic tonight. The other day against Wigan he was great but tonight I thought he was special."
