Spanish full-back says Chelsea one of a number of interested parties

Cesar Azpilicueta is flattered to hear of Chelsea's interest in his services, but claims they are not the only club in the running to secure his signature. The Blues are understood to be leading the chase for the Marseille full-back, with a summer switch seemingly on the cards. The 22-year-old Spaniard is among those Marseille are prepared to part with as they look to generate much-needed funds. The Ligue 1 outfit would be reluctant sellers, but they appreciate that their prized assets will need to be moved on if they are to bring fresh faces in. Azpilicueta has spent the last two years in France and appears open to the idea of taking on a new challenge elsewhere.

Relaxed

He is aware of the rumours suggesting he could be on his way to Stamford Bridge, but a man who will be representing Spain at the 2012 Olympics is refusing to speculate on where he may end up. "I am relaxed and waiting for developments," said Azpilicueta. "It is flattering when you have clubs such as Chelsea interested in you, but there are other clubs interested as well. "Nothing is decided as yet so let's wait and see what happens."
