Lucas Moura: Attracting plenty of interest and Chelsea are thought to be leading chase
Sao Paulo's president has claimed that Chelsea are the closest to signing highly-rated Brazilian midfielder Lucas Moura.
Lucas has burst onto the scene over the past couple of years and has already established himself at senior international level at the age of 19.
A number of major European clubs have been linked with a move for the player and Sao Paulo president Juvenal Juvencio says Real Madrid and Inter Milan are among the chasing pack.
Juvencio insists that it is Chelsea who are leading the chase, but has warned any potential suitors they must be prepared to stump up a hefty fee.
"At the moment it is Chelsea that are the closest team to Lucas," Juvencio told FCINTER1908.
"Inter made an offer of £20.2million, but this was not considered sufficient by us.
"Real Madrid is one of these (interested clubs) - there has been contact with the president Florentino Perez, who admires the player.
"Lucas is a big player who will triumph in Europe, but Sao Paulo will only sell him for an enormous offer."
