John Terry is still waiting to discover if he will be in the plans of new England manager Roy Hodgson for the 2012 European Championship.
Much has been made of the Chelsea captain and former Three Lions skipper's possible inclusion after off-field controversy and concerns over his form.
Terry is facing a court trial in July, after Euro 2012, for allegedly racially abusing Anton Ferdinand during a Premier League game against Queens Park Rangers last October.
It has as a result been questioned whether the centre-back will be able to be a member of the same England squad as Ferdinand's brother, Rio, and it is an issue for Hodgson to address.
The current West Brom head coach said at a media conference at the beginning of May to mark his unveiling he wanted to hold talks with Rio Ferdinand and Terry before making any decision.
But Hodgson, who is only due to begin his work with England on a full-time basis after Sunday's conclusion to the league season, has not yet been in contact with Terry.
Nightmare
"I've not had any call yet but I'm focusing on the league and Chelsea at the moment," the defender said on Thursday night at Chelsea's Player of the Year awards.
"Hopefully, I get the call and I'm in the squad - and that goes for many of us here.
"I'll always be there for my country."
Hodgson names his Euro 2012 squad next Wednesday and there have been suggestions Terry, who on Tuesday endured a nightmare performance in Chelsea's defeat by Liverpool, could be left out.
The 31-year-old was stripped of the England captaincy by the Football Association after being charged for allegedly abusing Anton Ferdinand.
Terry's removal as skipper led to the resignation of Hodgson's predecessor, Fabio Capello, who in 2010 had himself taken the armband off the centre-back after revelations about the player's personal life.

Hodgson announced Birmingham goalkeeping coach Dave Watson will be a member of England's squad for Euro 2012.
The FA has also confirmed Hodgson's first game in charge and England's Euro 2012 send-off at Wembley will be a full-house of almost 90,000 fans after tickets for the international with Belgium on 2nd June sold out.
