John Terry believes winning the FA Cup final can help Roberto Di Matteo land the Chelsea manager's job on a full-time basis.
Di Matteo has guided Chelsea to Saturday's showpiece as well as the Champions League final since taking over from Andre Villas-Boas in March on an interim basis.
Terry has been impressed by the impact made by Di Matteo and he knows lifting the FA Cup at the expense of Liverpool can only enhance his chances of being given the nod by Blues owner Roman Abramovich to keep the job permanently.
"It would do him no harm at all," Terry said when asked if winning the FA Cup could boost Di Matteo's chances of staying in the job
"He's obviously done very well in the league and all competitions to get us where we are today.
"To win it (the cup) will put himself in a very good position.
"He's not thinking of that at the moment, he's not letting the players get distracted by anything.
"He's very passionate, he's Chelsea through and through, and that's certainly rubbed off on the players.
"So, if we can do it with the added bonus that Robbie can get the job at the end, that'd be great."
