Germany international claims Spurs were also interested

Marko Marin says he is joining his 'dream club' after agreeing a move to Chelsea and also claims to have attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur. Chelsea confirmed on Saturday that Germany international Marin will be moving to Stamford Bridge on a five-year contract from Werder Bremen in the summer. The 23-year-old has been linked with several clubs across Europe after impressing during three seasons with Bremen and was previously mooted as a target for Liverpool. The midfielder claims Spurs showed a recent interest, but believes playing for London rivals Chelsea will be a better fit for his style of play. "Chelsea is my dream club," Marin told Sport-Bild. "I'm happy that I get the chance to play for them. It is a challenge for me. "Tottenham Hotspur were also interested, but I opted for Chelsea, because they suit me well." Marin played for Germany at the 2010 World Cup, but is not expected to be included in the squad for Euro 2012 after not making an appearance for Joachim Low's side since November 2010.
