Portugal international has an impressive record at the Blues goal

Chelsea goalkeeper Henrique Hilario has signed a one-year extension to his present deal which will now run until 2013. The veteran 36-year-old was signed in 2006 from Nacional to provide back up to Petr Cech and Carlo Cudicini. He marked his Blues career with an impressive display against Barcelona as the Premier League side overcame their Primera Liga opponents 1-0. Hilario, however, has found his opportunities at Stamford Bridge limited due to the form of Cech. An injury to the Czech No.1 at the start of the season allowed his understudy to play in the victories against West Brom and Norwich in the Premier League. Since his arrival at the club, Hilario has made 39 appearances for the Blues with four of those coming as a substitute, keeping 18 clean sheets.
