Dutchman reported to be on the verge of signing 18-month contract

Guus Hiddink is to become the new manager of mega-rich Anzhi Makhachkala, according to reports in Holland. The ambitious Russian club are said to be ready to unveil the in-demand Dutchman on an 18-month contract. Hiddink's imminent appointment would seemingly end Anzhi's interest in former England manager Fabio Capello. It would also ease some of the pressure on Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas, with club owner Roman Abramovich a long-term friend of Hiddink. The 65-year-old managed Chelsea to the FA Cup in 2009 on a caretaker basis and it had been suggested he could return if they decided to part company with Villas-Boas. Hiddink's contract with Anzhi is reportedly set to be worth in the region of €10million-a-year (£8.3m) and would mark his return to work since stepping down as Turkey boss in November.
