Prosenik makes move to Italy from Chelsea

AC Milan have snapped up teenage Austrian striker Philipp Prosenik from Chelsea after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee. Prosenik joined Chelsea in the summer of 2009 from Rapid Vienna when he was just 16, in what was seen as a considerable transfer coup for the Blues. The youngster had been linked with a host of top European clubs prior to completing his move to Stamford Bridge, and after continuing his development in London for a couple of years he has been given the opportunity to embark on a fresh challenge under Massimiliano Allegri at Milan. A statement from Milan read: "Philipp Prosenik's contract has been deposited with the Lega Serie A." Now 18, Austria Under 19 international Prosenik is the son of former Austria international Christian Prosenik.
