United boss looking forward to visit of Chelsea on Sunday

Sir Alex Ferguson is confident Manchester United will win the Premier League title if they beat rivals Chelsea on Sunday. The weekend's battle at Old Trafford appears likely to be decisive in determining who will walk off with this season's top-flight title. United are chasing a record-breaking 19th league crown and currently hold a three-point cushion over Chelsea with three games left to play. However, if Chelsea win at Old Trafford, then the reigning champions will go above United at the top of the table on goal difference. Ferguson rested many of his key players for the midweek UEFA Champions League victory over Schalke and has a fresh team available for the visit of Chelsea. The United boss is looking forward to tackling the Blues and expects victory over Carlo Ancelotti's side to wrap up another Premier League title.

Awareness

"Everyone's aware of the magnitude of Sunday's game and it's one we're looking forward to," said Ferguson, whose side lost 1-0 at Arsenal last weekend. "Last Sunday's result has certainly brought an awareness to us of how important this game is and I think it's one of the reasons I had to pick the team I did on Wednesday. "It's given us a fresh team for Sunday. It should be a fantastic match and if we win, we should win the league." United have not lost at home since the corresponding fixture last season and only West Brom have avoided defeat at Old Trafford in the league this term. Ferguson added: "Our home form is a big advantage. That's the reason we're there [on top]. "It's probably the best in Europe. Some of our performances at home have been absolutely terrific. Hopefully we get the result we want."
