CSKA Moscow striker Vagner Love has issued a come and get me plea to England's top sides.
The Brazil international has spent the last four years terrorising defences in Russia, but is keen to try his luck elsewhere.
He admits that a move to the Premier League would be his preferred option and is hoping a deal can be struck during the January transfer window.
Title-chasing Chelsea are reported to be interested in the 24-year-old, with Love confident he could be a success at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are keen to bolster their attacking options after seeing Manchester City snatch Brazilian superstar Robinho from under their noses on transfer deadline day.
"It is my aim to go to England," Love said in the
Daily Express.
"I have given my best years to CSKA and it's time to move. But I'm not a replacement for Robinho - I am my own player."
Injuries
Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has revealed his intention to delve into the transfer market when the window reopens in the New Year, with a striker believed to be his No. 1 priority.
"Now, because I have many injuries, I say to the board that I maybe need one player," he said.
"I know that it's a different time now for Chelsea. But, if I have any more injuries, they understand that I'll need one or two players to replace some players.
"I think it's maximum one player they'll replace because we need one player more."
Scolari also admitted his admiration for Love, but refused to confirm whether he will be making a move for his countryman.
"He is a very good player - now he's in Russia playing very well, but I'm not thinking about A, B or C," he added.
