Everton striker Victor Anichebe and Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel have been named in Nigeria's squad for their decisive Olympic Games qualifier against South Africa on 26th March.
Anichebe, who has scored a number of important goals for Everton after coming off the bench this season, has yet to represent Nigeria due to injury.
However, the 19-year-old has been named in the squad for the meeting with South Africa in Abuja.
If the Super Eagles beat South Africa they will book their place at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and the importance of the match means Chelsea star Mikel has also been called up.
It is not expected that either player will miss a significant number of domestic games as England are due to play a friendly with France on the same day and the Premier League will therefore hold an international break.
