Caen have denied reports that Paris Saint Germain have tied up an agreement for highly-rated forward Yoan Gouffran.
The 21-year-old is one of the most highly-rated young players in France and a host of clubs have shown an interest in the last 12 months.
Valencia, Internazionale, Auxerre and Chelsea have all been strongly linked but it did seem he was set for a switch to Arsenal in the summer - but a deal never materialised.
Recent weeks have seen PSG home in on his signature, but claims they had sealed a deal for him have been rejected by Caen boss Franck Dumas.
"Contrary to what has been said and written, Stade Caen does not have an agreement with PSG," he insisted.
With PSG struggling to strike a deal for Gouffran, they are understood to be considering other options and top of their list is said to be Charles Kabore.
The Burkina Faso midfielder currently plays in Ligue 2 for Libourne Saint-Seurin - where he has been earning rave reviews.
The 19-year-old - like Gouffran - is now attracting a great deal of interest from around the continent.
Amongst the interested parties are Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool - whilst Bordeaux, who tried to sign him last summer, maintain a strong interest.
But PSG are set to throw their hat in the ring to land Kabore - who unlike Gouffran - looks set to leave in the January transfer window.
