Pilgrims want Blues starlet

Holloway wants Hutchinson, but is set to miss out on Sinclair

Plymouth Argyle are hoping to sign Chelsea youngster Sam Hutchinson on loan. The versatile teenager made his debut for Jose Mourinho's side as a substitute against Everton at the end of last season. He could be granted further first-team opportunities at Plymouth after Ian Holloway acknowledged his interest. But while Holloway hopes to sign Hutchinson, he has all-but given up on bringing his Chelsea team-mate Scott Sinclair back to Home Park. Holloway told the club's official website of Hutchinson: "He can play centre-half, centre midfield or right-back, and I thought that was quite a decent little set of things that he could do.

Bad news

"He's got the quality of Scott Sinclair, but in that position." Holloway concedes the departure of Arjen Robben to Real Madrid has scuppered his chances of re-signing Sinclair. He added: "If they had kept Robben, then we might have got him, but now he might make a game or two. "It's good news for him and bad news for us."
