Daniel Alves has refused to join his Sevilla team-mates for their trip to take on AEK Athens in the UEFA Champions League, according to club president Jose Maria Del Nido.
The Sevilla squad travel to Greece on Monday ahead of their second-leg Champions League third qualifying round fixture, but Alves will not be present.
Sevilla take on Milan in the Uefa Super Cup on Friday and Alves will miss the meeting with the Italians following an outburst at Del Nido
The sought-after full-back has become frustrated at his failure to secure a big money move away from Sevilla this summer.
"Daniel Alves, in a total lack of respect to his team-mates and the club, has refused to travel with the club that pays him. The public will now know the professionalism of the aforementioned player," said Del Nido.
Real Madrid and Chelsea were thought to be leading the chase to sign Alves, but no club has been prepared to meet Sevilla's reported valuation of £28million.
Alves sat out the first leg against AEK and the Brazilian was also absent for Saturday's 4-1 victory over Getafe on the opening day of the Primera Liga season.
