PSV Eindhoven have wrapped up the loan capture of Alcides from Chelsea.
The Premiership champions own the Brazilian defender, but he has been out on loan at Portuguese side Benfica for the past 18 months.
He worked under now PSV boss Ronald Koeman at Benfica and after slipping down the pecking order in the current campaign, has jumped at the chance to link up with the Dutch tactician once again.
Alcides successfully negotiated his way through a medical this week and is looking to get his career back on track in Eindhoven.
"I am very happy to be here," Alcides told PSV's website. "It's a very attractive club and good step in my career."
