Internazionale have decided to part company with Chelsea midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron after two seasons on loan at the club.
The club had been awaiting a decision from the 31-year-old Argentinian playmaker on his future.
But the player's agent Fernando Hidalgo has revealed the club could not wait any longer.
"I met Nerazzurri technical director Marco Branca on Friday and everything is clear," he told Corriere dello Sport.
"Everyone must make their choices. Inter could literally miss out on the whole transfer window, waiting for Veron's decision."
Veron is currently holidaying with his family in Argentina, but it is not yet clear whether he will make a permanent switch to his native country from Chelsea.
Coach Roberto Mancini meanwhile, is likely to hold on to the former Manchester United man's Chilean understudy David Pizarro, as he looks to strengthen for the coming season.
