Arjen Robben and Philip Cocu have both been rested by Dutch coach Marco van Basten in a precautionary measure.
The midfield duo did not partake in training with the other 21 members of the Oranje World Cup squad on Monday after suffering minor problems.
After a 1-0 victory on Sunday van Basten voiced concerns over his side's fitness levels, and now Chelsea winger Robben and PSV Eindhoven midfielder Cocu have both had to rest in Hoenderloo.
Kew Jaliens also continued to work on his recovery from a leg injury that threatened to scupper his chances of travelling to Germany.
Van Basten is looking to get his side in the best possible shape with two training sessions a day, and Holland will play both Mexico and Australia before embarking on their Group C campaign.
