Lyon have denied having any interest in Chelsea star Hernan Crespo.
Reports in France suggested the French champions were ready to make a move for the Argentine - who may yet prove surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge next season.
However, Lyon supremo Jean-Michel Aulas has moved quickly to deny the move.
"That is simple, there is not a chance in 1,000!," he said.
Aulas has again stated that he is not looking to sell any of his current top players.
"The quintet Coupet, Cris, Diarra, Juninho and Fred are untransferable," said Aulas - who admits he still fears a big bid for Diarra.
"I am forced to consider what happened one year ago with Michael Essien.
"Of course if there is the fee proposed, that could make me think about it.
"Djilla (Diarra) I don't think he could be the object of a comparable offer than what we had one year ago for Essien.
"It does seem Real Madrid wants his arrival, but that club is in a difficult period so Djilla, who has one year remaining with one of the best contracts in his position, can not be tempted to leave."
One player who could very well depart the Stade Gerland is Hatem Ben Arfa.
Tottenham are known to be keen - but French sources now claim that both Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested.
It is believed that Spanish football is a more attractive proposition for Ben Arfa and he may snub any potential Spurs offer in order to move to La Liga.
Meanwhile, Lyon have confirmed that Gerard Houllier has automatically had his contract extended by another 12 months after they retained their Ligue 1 crown.
