Chelsea and Internazionale are reported to be keeping close tabs on Marseille's Taye Taiwo.
The 21-year-old joined l'OM in January last year from Nigerian minnows Lobi Star.
He was nurtured in the opening months of his l'OM stay, but he was first choice by the start of this season and has impressed greatly.
His form earned him a contract extension until 2008, but it has also seen a number of clubs take a keen interest and both Inter and Chelsea have had scouts at recent games.
Taiwo could be offered the chance to join compatriot Obafemi Martins at the Giuseppe Meazza - and he admits he could be attracted by a move to Italy.
"I love Italian football," he said.
"But before leaving I have to improve and learn better about my positioning, and first think about defending."
