Farfan interest grows

Jefferson Farfan is being linked with a move away from PSV Eindhoven.

PSV Eindhoven striker Jefferson Farfan is being linked with a move away from the Philips Stadion.

Reports emanating from Farfan's native Peru claim that the likes of Barcelona and Chelsea are weighing up a move for the player.

Farfan has established himself as one of the best young forwards in Europe and he has been instrumental in helping PSV retain their Dutch title this season.

The 21-year-old has scored 21 goals this season and his performances have not gone unnoticed by Europe's elite.

Farfan's agent Raul Gonzalez is expecting some clubs to make offers for the forward, but he insists the player is happy at PSV

"Interested clubs must be prepared to lay ‚é¼15 million (£10.3 million) on the table for Jefferson," said Gonzalez.

"Jefferson feels good at Eindhoven and has no problem with playing there for a year.

"If he leaves PSV, it will be to a club where the coach shows his trust in him, in a city where he feels good and where also the financial conditions are okay."
