Eriksson's Bridge worry

Wayne Bridge's spot in the England squad is in danger.

Sven Goran Eriksson has warned Wayne Bridge that his spot in the England squad is in danger due to his lack of playing time at Chelsea.

Talented left back Bridge has battled back to fitness following a serious ankle injury, but he has been repeatedly overlooked for selection by Blues boss Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho favours Spanish international Asier Del Horno at left back and the situation is frustrating for Eriksson who is keen to take Bridge to Germany, but not if he is unfit.

"I played Wayne against Argentina but if it had been a qualification game or a World Cup match I could not have picked him," said Eriksson.

"If he is not going to play for Chelsea, how will he be match fit for the World Cup? And he is a player we need.

"I do have concerns and it will be difficult to be sure about all the players in that situation until March or April."
