Ludovic Giuly has admitted Barcelona are still smarting from last season's UEFA Champions League exit to Chelsea.

The Frenchman, speaking on the eve of the eagerly-anticipated clash with Real Madrid, live on Sky Sports 2, dearly wants to win Europe's biggest competition during his time at Camp Nou.

"I don't know if, this season, our team is superior to last season," Giuly told L'Equipe.

"However, I know there is a match engraved forever on our memory - the defeat at Chelsea.

"The Englishmen owe us something and no-one has forgotten it.

"To win the Champions League is an aim. We all think about, with humility.

"Perhaps because we have been taken in [by events] last year."

Giuly arrived at Barca from Monaco and will be looking forward to Saturday's crunch match with Real.
