It had been reported that Mutu was failing to get on with the rest of The Blues' squad, however he has now moved to insist that he is happy with life in West London.
"I can't believe the players went to [chief executive] Peter Kenyon to say something about me," Mutu said.
"I have many friends at Chelsea and am very sociable.
"It's normal when you're injured to be a little bit upset but it's nothing to do with them, it's my own problem.
"I feel good and Chelsea are doing very well. We're second in the league and in the semi-finals of the Champions League and cannot do much more. I'm very happy at Chelsea but am not in the best condition.
"I'll try to recover as quickly as possible."
Mutu was a sensation in the opening weeks of the Premiership season following his £15.8 million move from Parma as he bagged four goals in the opening month of the campaign.
However, he has failed to keep up the good form with just four goals since the turn of the year and only one in The Premiership in that time.
Despite his recent dip in form, Mutu is confident he can come back in good style next season.
"I'm very confident I will be scoring soon because I still know football. I will show everyone my talent," he told The Evening Standard.
"I'm in a bad period but the supporters understand me and I want to thank them for always staying next to me. They give me a hand and help me. I'm very happy and want to continue with Chelsea.
"I'm in bad condition at the moment but every time I go on the pitch I try my best, I do my duty and help my team."
